On Saturday, the Lebanese Hezbollah mourned its Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, who Israel announced was assassinated during the raid that targeted the "central headquarters of the party" on Friday evening in Haret Hreik in the southern suburbs of the capital Beirut. 

Hezbollah's obituary came after hours of silence and blackout about the fate of Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah since Friday. 

The party said in a statement, "His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary-General of Hezbollah, has joined his great and immortal martyred comrades, whose path he led for nearly thirty years." 

The Israeli army had previously confirmed since Saturday morning the killing of Nasrallah, along with other Hezbollah leaders.
