Qamishli Amuda Foxes return to work

The Qamishli-Amuda line's tuk-tuks returned to work at the tourist garage, after stopping on Monday morning, in protest against the reduction of diesel allocations.

One of the tuk-tuks drivers told our website that they went on strike after receiving a warning from the Transport Committee not to raise the fare to 10,000 Syrian pounds.

The tuk-tuks drivers explained that their diesel allocations are not enough for them and that they are forced to buy unsubsidized diesel at 4,750 per liter, which prompted them to raise the fare per passenger from 5,000 to 10,000 Syrian pounds.
